"Creativity and talent have always been rewarded in time but I would like to bridge the time gap between creativity and recognition at least in the world of Art, through my gallery.

A price line which offers good value for money to the Buyer/collector on the one hand and adequate reward for artists' creative talents would be ideal. "Promises Shobha Bhatia, an Artist herself, who started the Gallerie Ganesha in 1989.

The Gallery aspires to:

• Promote young and promising talents.
• Generate an awareness for art by constant exposure to high quality works of Art.
• Give exposure to skilled and dedicated Artists of yesteryears who went unnoticed due to lack of media attention and galleries.
• Provide a platform for interaction between the artist and the viewer.

After two decades the gallery can look back on a successful track record of promoting young talent, some of whom have already achieved international fame (Paresh Maity, Neeraj Goswami) while others are well on their way to such acclaim (Devdatta Padekar, Sisir Sahana, Mohan Singh, Murlidhar Rai, Avijit Dutta) . and as always , a new batch of young talent is being nurtured in the wings, ready to take to the main stage. With its practice of including works of ‘old masters’ in its annual shows the gallery has also been able to materialize its vision of giving more prominence to those great masters of the past.
